What Every Bride Needs

Milan Teh April 27, 2010

This post is about wedding gowns and what every bride needs. Last weekend, I was shooting in a mini fashion show of models at Sunway Convention Centre in Butterworth for 2 vendors, namely Red Knot and Sol Cover.

For Red Knot, they are 'your ultimate wedding shop for all your wedding needs'. They provide Bride's Dowry, Hair Dressing Accessories, Wedding Decoration, Grand Gift & Accessories, Bed Setting Accessories, Rental of Traditional Chinese Wedding Gown(Qua), Traditional Wedding Cake, Wedding Date Selection, 'Tai Come Jie' and more.

Red Knot was founded beginning of 2010 by Ms. Carmen. It is a one-stop for getting all your wedding needs. Before setting up Red Knot, Carmen even attended courses about traditional Chinese weddings at Hong Kong because she thought that our Chinese customs are eventually faded along time because quite some people choose to skip certain ceremonies due to the lack of background knowledge of a proper Chinese wedding or due to different cultures' understandings.

Therefore, by setting up Red Knot, Carmen hopes that brides & grooms that are getting married will sit back, relax, pay a visit to Red Knot and get all your wedding needs there. Red Knot opens daily from 11am to 9pm situated directly opposite to Wisma Central at Macalister road, Penang. (Same row as BATA/Public bank)

The picture above and below is the most expensive 'Kua' in Red Knot. The 'Kua's available in Red Knot are of high quality ones imported from Hong Kong, every details or pattern on the gown is beautifully sewn by hand.

Next, we have Sol Cover. Sol Cover was founded on 2004, they provide a wide range of gowns for rental and sale to choose from. They have a team of creative designers that constantly research, develop, and create new innovative designs that fits your needs and future trends of the fashion industry. Also, Sol Cover practices one gown, one design philosophy. Therefore, you don't have to worry that you bumped into someone that wears the same design of clothes like yours in any event.

Further more, rental charges or the cost for brand new designed gowns are reasonable and affordable. Sol Cover also provides rental of hair/bridal accessories, veil, coat & trousers for males, dinner dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and dresses for bride's mother and more. Sol Cover opens from 1pm to 9pm except Tuesday, situated opposite to Penang Chinese Girl High School (PCGHS).

So, you wanted to take pre-wedding photographs but don't know where to get your gowns? Now you know who you could find and I could start imagine how lovely and elegant a bride could be with a set of glamorous gown with Sol Cover.
