I like to make family portrait a fun session that looks like an everyday activity as opposed posing for the sake of posing although you could see some of my work has subtle pose incorporated. Looking back at what I did throughout the years, how I wish I can do something like that for my family members but with me inside that is cause it's hard to be able to get perfect photographs of your family members laughing or looking happy. The siblings in Lau's family is fun and even the parents are very easy to photograph and this certainly makes my job a lot fun and easy :D A lot of brides say that I like children from what they see through the photos I post online. Sometimes, I'm shocked to hear comments like this, girls are really sensitive and I felt like I've been 'seen through' but I think yea, I admit I really love children, their smile and silly moves are very cute and infectious... it makes my day and thus I focus on them a lot when I have the time. The saying that you can identify a photographer's desire and personality through the photographs they post online is pretty accurate. So if you don't know yet, this could be a guideline for you when you are having a headache choosing your photographer since there are literally endless of choice in the market nowadays.
These are some of my favorites with the Lau family done in Clove Hall Penang. The ambient is very nice, the venue is perfect for photoshoot or relaxation!
&.b.t.w. - I get a nice treat of strawberry cheese Häagen-Dazs ice cream after the shoot, it's heavenly!
&.&.b.t.w. - If you afraid that your little ones might not be cooperative for a photoshoot, consider bringing some ice cream or toys. They worked!
&.&.&.b.t.w. - I think stress is building up a bit as I will be speaking at Nikon Center Penang branch about modern wedding & portraiture in two weeks time. This would be my first time talking about photography in front of a group of photographers. Hope I'll do good and inspire others.
