Throughout my career being a wedding photographer, one of the things that makes me happy is to be able to create beautiful photographs from my own hometown, Penang. Glad especially when it's supported by the fact that several brides that came all the way from Singapore to Penang intentionally to have their wedding portraits done here. Rina was one of them, a Singapore bride who thinks my style resonates with her liking thus decided to come with Tong Wei for their portrait.
I have quite a number of favs out of this session. The first picture especially, would kept me looking for hours. The moment is just too beautiful to look away...
&.b.t.w. - Penang is indeed a unique place with great varieties of things around: heritage, temple, church, beach, mosque, colonial building and so forth. Monetary wise, I think it's the most valued for money place to visit in Malaysia. There's place to shop, to relax, to eat cheap & very good hawker food, to see a number of different cultural buildings and now a new addition - the street arts. There are no one place in Malaysia that has them all but except Penang. It's a fact that Penang has a number of good photographers too, well I'm not promoting myself tho, haha.. The tagline by the tourism board is spot-on, 'Penang has it all.'
