Always wanted to photograph at the beautiful Yeng Kheng hotel setting and dream came true when Marcus & Gwen agreed with my idea going there for one of their more formal session. I like the overall design and color of the building and it sets a very unique mood to the photographs.
The shoot went very smoothly with a not so hot cloudy weather at noon while lots of glorious sun in the morning, just perfect without making everyone all too sweaty. Really like how easy it is to create emotion out of Marcus & Gwen and also for how adventurous they are willing to try new ideas with me. The shot below at the mini waterfall inside the botanic garden of Penang is actually quite dangerous if not being careful enough as the couple were just standing on a 'stone made bar' of maybe 30cm in width. And you might have guessed right already that I am standing in the water and almost slipped. The outcome is simply...rewarding!
&.b.t.w. - As this was shot few months back, the murals were all still in very good condition. It's pity to see that they are deteriorating now and some even being vandalized lately. Hope to see them restored soon!
&.&.b.t.w. - If you are wondering, Gwen's makeover is done by Joan too.
